Summer, Singing and Hair :)

Well we are now into the full swing of summer and everything that goes with it.  Sleeping in, swimming, and just chilling with the girls :)

Bryce is working now (and not liking it too much) but has already spent her first paycheck and she just got it today.  LOL  She got her hair done...went back all dark and the rest of it will go to her new iphone 4. We are going next week to pick ours up. 

Since Bryce got her hair done, the rest of them thought they should too...lol so I paid to get Storm and Raeli's cut and then we went to the store to look for Jayde a color she liked to go back dark.  Storm begged me to color her hair too.  I ended up buying an highlight kit with Jayde's color and highlighted Storm and Raeli's hair.  I must say that all 3 of them turned out great.  Just enough highlights to blend in and Jayde's is very pretty dark. 

Speaking of Jayde, she sang at the landing last night and as always...blew me away.  God has truly given her a talent and I can't wait to see what His plans are for her.  She sang Harper Valley PTA which is always fun and then The Cross Said It All.  I have to say that to this date, that is my favorite one she sings.

As far as the last post I wrote, I am not sticking to the diet like I should...I haven't gained any weight but haven't lost any either.  I am swimming almost everyday, but still not eating like I am suppose to.  Oh well, maybe next week...lol

Summer Is Here!!!

School is out and you can tell in the Rhoden house.  Bryce has already had a sleepover.  Bryce, Jayde, Katelyn, Ashton and Brandi all stayed and went swimming ALL day the next day.  Bryce is starting her first job and is NOT happy about it.  I know it is good for her but she just thinks her summer is wasted.  She is only working 3 days a week to start off and if she decides she wants to work more...she can. 

Jayde and I are starting a workout routine so we will both lose some weight and look better by August.  I did the HCG diet with mom, misty and chelsea and lost 18 lbs and 5 1/2 inches off my waist.  It has been about 3 weeks since we stopped the shots and I haven't gained any but haven't lost any either so I asked Jayde if she wanted to workout with me.  We are going to walk in the mornings and swim after walking along with eating right and drinking nothing but water.  lol

Storm and Raeli are in a pageant tomorrow.  There aren't too many that they don't compete against each other so I put them in it.  We will see how it goes. 

I'm loving sleeping in a little...not having to get up at 6:20.  Although, I am usually up by 7:00.  But waking up on your own feels better than being woken up by an alarm.  :)  I am excited to see what the summer holds.

Summer Begins

Well at a little over 2 weeks left of school I am getting the summer itch.  My girls as well.  They are counting down the days till they are done.  I can't believe Bryce will be a Junior.  2 short years and she will be graduating.  Where does the time go???  Jayde tried out for Ramblers and made the squad again.  I'm not sure if she loves cheering as much as singing, but it keeps her busy.  Speaking of singing, she went to Fine Arts Competition with our church and out of 128 singers was one of 25 to be asked to go to Nationals.  I am sooo proud of her.  She truly has a God given talent and I can't wait to see what God's plans are for her.

Bubba had to go out of town for training.  Bruce is now a Certified Cadaver Dog.  YUCK!  I hope he never has to use that ability.  I thank God for my husband and how he provides for our family.

I'm having a hard time picking teachers for Storm and Raeli.  I pray God places them where they should be and has at least one friend in their class.  Raeli has tons of friends but it seems Storms friends are Raeli's friends and she doesn't have many her age.  They are going to be a mess when they are older.  They are pretty much inseparable now!

I love my family and thank God for each one of them.

My Sister's Good Idea

I received an email from my sister wanting me to look at a website. I clicked on the link and opened up her new blog site. It said she wanted to have something that her boys could look at one day and think back on all the memories. What a great idea...so I am "copying" her. I am new to this so I guess it will get better as it goes on...we will see :)



I have been married to my husband Bubba for almost 18 years! We have 5 beautiful daughters and I could not be happier. Chelsea (my oldest) is married now and loving married life. Bryce is 16 and is so far the easiest to raise. She plays basketball and was recently asked to go to NYC for modeling. Jayde is our middle child, 13, and she is my singer. God has plans for this one...watch for her name in lights one day :). Storm is 9 and she is out sweetheart. She tries to please everyone. Last but not least is Raeli. She is 8 and a total TRIP to raise. She keeps us laughing everyday with the stuff she comes up with.



So that is my family...you'll hear more as we go on. But that is a little preview. Hope you enjoy my little life with 5 daughters and a husband. :)
